AGuidetoChoosingtheRightSiteDistributionBoardforEveryProject

On a worksite, where several machines and tools may be operating at the same time, it is essential to ensure adequate, organised and safe power distribution.

Discover the purpose of ASLO site distribution boards and how this equipment can support your work.

What is a Site Distribution Board?

A site distribution board is equipment used to temporarily distribute electrical power to different machines, tools and equipment.

It is commonly used on construction sites, refurbishment projects, maintenance work and other professional settings where several power supply points need to be created from the same installation.

In addition to sockets, it can incorporate protective devices such as circuit breakers and residual-current devices, helping to protect the circuits and connected equipment.

What Should You Consider?

The distribution board should be chosen according to the requirements of the job. It is therefore important to ensure that its configuration matches the equipment that will be used.

The main aspects to assess include:

  • Number of devices that may be connected at the same time;
  • Type of sockets required, such as Schuko or industrial sockets;
  • Current rating, particularly for more demanding machines;
  • Integrated electrical protection;
  • Protection rating and resistance, especially in environments exposed to dust, moisture or impacts.

What Types of Distribution Boards Are Available?

Empty Distribution Board: Allows the components to be configured according to specific requirements.

Equipped Distribution Board: Includes sockets and protective devices, making it a practical solution when a ready-to-use configuration is required for professional applications.

ASLO Solutions

ASLO offers different site distribution board configurations, allowing power distribution to be adapted to the requirements of each job.

1.        Empty 10-Module Site Distribution Board

For installations that require a customised configuration, the Empty 10-Module Site Distribution Board provides space to select the necessary components according to the application. It features IP44 protection and IK06 impact resistance, class II insulation and earth and neutral busbars with 5 connections.

2.        Equipped 10-Module Site Distribution Board

The 10-module model combines Schuko sockets with 16A three-phase industrial sockets, making it suitable for jobs requiring different power supply points. It also incorporates residual-current protection and circuit breakers dedicated to the different circuits.

3.        Equipped 14-Module Site Distribution Board

When more power supply points are required, the 14-module model provides a more comprehensive configuration, with 6 Schuko sockets,  2 three-phase industrial sockets (400V) and 1 single-phase industrial socket rated at 16A (230V), together with the corresponding protective devices.

Before choosing a site distribution board from ASLO, consider which equipment will be used, how many devices will operate simultaneously and what type of connection they require.

By adapting the distribution board configuration to the requirements of the worksite, it becomes easier to ensure organised power distribution suited to the demands of each job.
